Overall, it was a very satisfying 3 points.
We started off really well with 2 goals in the first 18 minutes. The first one coming after two minutes through Lewis Wilcox through our set pieces so one for the efforts on the training ground as we revamped our set pieces.
The second I felt we built up well with a great ball from Darragh Walsh who does excel given the responsibility on the ball, finding Callum Orange whose own movement to create the angle and finish was of high quality.
I was slightly disappointed with what followed up to half time where we didn't go and find that killer third goal before halftime and took our foot off the gas enabling Selston a way back in at 2-1 at the break.
The next 15 minutes again Selston were on top and got their equaliser through Jack Cockram.
We hit back in under 5 minutes through a great header from Reece Sugars from a great diagonal ball from George Scott, and this won us the game.
It was a satisfying win to close the gap and move out the bottom three. We need to win consistently in the league and keep building and see where it takes us.
We now head to Step 5 Bourne Town in League Cup in midweek an opportunity again for us and the squad to show our capabilities against higher league opponents.
